Temporary food sale regulations

Temporary food premises includes food vending vehicles, demountable stalls, stalls and the like in open or in another structure used for the purpose of selling any article of food and any area adjacent. It is the obligation of a stall holder to apply for the registration of a temporary stall.

You may use this form, Temporary Food Stall Application (pdf 146Kb), for registration of a Temporary Food Stall. This form is to be completed by the stall holder. Ensure all fields are filled out correctly. Once completed, submit a copy to the Event Co-ordinator and to Kiama Council. This form is in a PDF format so you should either print out the form complete it and deliver it to 11 Manning St Kiama NSW 2533 or post it to PO Box 75 Kiama NSW 2533. Alternatively you may complete the form scan it and e-mail it to council@kiama.nsw.gov.au.

This form is to be completed by the Event Co-ordinator. Ensure all fields are filled out correctly. Once complete submit to Kiama Council. Street stall nominations

Each year in October - November, Council places an advertisement in the Kiama Independent for two weeks inviting organisations to nominate their preferred dates for street stalls during the year. These requests for street stalls must be made in writing and allocations will be made on an as-received basis.

Telephone requests will not be accepted until this process is completed.

Only one street stall per location will be approved on any one day within the central business districts of Kiama, Jamberoo and Gerringong.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Approved locations

• Kiama outside IMB Building Society - 86 Terralong Street, Kiama; and South-Western corner of Terralong and Shoalhaven Streets, Kiama
• Jamberoo outside IGA SUpermarket - 3 Allowrie Street, Jamberoo
• Gerringong outside Gerringong Pharmacy - 113 Fern Street, Gerringong

NB. Kiama Fair
Council has no control over stalls in this centre or its grounds, as it is private property. Requests should be referred to the Centre Management on 4232 3320.

Kiama regularly has community markets which include:

• Kiama Seaside Markets - 3rd Sunday each month - Black Beach Kiama - 9am - 3pm
• Kiama Produce Markets - 4th Saturday each month - Black Beach Kiama - start 8am - 1pm
  
• Gerringong Monthly Markets - 2nd Sunday each month - Gerringong Surf Club - 10am - 4pm
